Il progetto What
Remains nasce nella primavera del 2005 da un’idea di Lisa
e Gabriele che, accomunati dalla passione per il metal, decidono
di provare a formare un gruppo. Cosi a maggio dello stesso anno
viene chiamato Enrico al basso e successivamente Paolo alla chitarra.
Tramite un annuncio i What Remains contattano il tastierista Emanuele,
mentre il posto alla batteria verra' occupato da Furyo un amico
di Enrico. E’ il settembre 2005 e i What Remains sembrano
aver trovato una formazione definitiva; il 16 ottobre partecipano
cosi alle eliminatorie del keller contest superando il turno. Subito
dopo pero' Enrico e Furyo decidono di abbandonare la band lasciando
quindi vacanti i posti di bassista e batterista. Fortunatamente
viene trovato quasi subito il bassista, Emiliano, mentre alla batteria
la situazione si fa piu' complicata. Vengono infatti contattati
diversi batteristi senza pero' mai trovare quello giusto. Infine
a gennaio 2006 Marco, che gia' suonava con Paolo nei Nympha, decide
di entrare a far parte della band. Ricomposto in extremis il gruppo,
i What Remains partecipano il 12 febbraio agli ottavi di finale
del keller contest superando anche questo turno e arrivando fino
alle semifinali del 7 maggio. Nell’estate 2006 i What Remains
hanno un periodo di stallo per problemi personali all’interno
del gruppo che porteranno, nel settembre, alla dipartita del tastierista
Emanuele. Pur continuando la ricerca del tastierista adatto alle
esigenze del gruppo i What Remains continuano, nei mesi successivi,
ad andare avanti e nel novembre 2006 registrano la loro prima demo
“Wish of Freedom”. Attualmente il gruppo e' in fase
compositiva.

The What Remains project starts in spring 2005 from an idea of Lisa
and Gabriele because of their common passion for metal music. In
may Enrico and Paolo enter the band as bass player and guitar player.
After few weeks they contact Emanuele that will take place behind
keybords. Furyo, a friend of Enrico, will become the drummer. In
October the band take part in the preliminary heats of Keller Contest
gaining the access to the next turn. Enrico and Furyo decide to
leave the band. Fortunately they find immediately a bass player,
Emiliano. On what concerns the drummer, the situation isn’t
easy. They contact a lot of drummers but they don’t find the
right one. Finally in january Marco, that like Paolo was a former
member of a band called Nympha, decide to join the band. Just in
time for the next turn of the Keller Contest. The guys will arrvive
to the semifinals in may. In summer 2006 What Remains have a bad
period due to personal problems that will lead to the departure
of Emanuele. The band is still looking for a good keyboardist but
goes on and in november recorded it’s first demo called “Wish
of Freedom”. Now What Remains are at work on new songs.
